The Virtual Online Gallery for ICH provides a structure to represent and compare Intangible Cultural Heritage from Austria with similar forms of traditional expressions practiced in other countries and cultures.

The idea is to use the internet, audiovisual media and comparative methods to provide a cross-cultural insight into the living heritage of local communities living in various conditions and cultural backgrounds. The Online Gallery presents a “living” platform to make traditional knowledge, stories and practices publicly accessible and to further raise awareness of cultural diversity as well as common grounds.
